Iiani to host Samike Tournament and Sanitary Pads Drive

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Iiani Primary School to Host Annual Samike Tournament and Sanitary Pad Drive

Iiani Primary School will be hosting the Annual Samike tournament on December 27th, 2022, at the school’s playground. In addition to the tournament, the school will also be hosting a mentorship program for girls and a sanitary pad drive.

The Samike tournament is a beloved tradition at Iiani Primary School, where youth from Mavindini ward come together to compete in a friendly sports competition. This year’s tournament will feature a variety of activities and games, including soccer, fun activities, and relay races.

In addition to the tournament, the school will also be hosting a mentorship program for girls. This program will provide young girls with the opportunity to connect with successful women in their community, and to learn valuable life skills and leadership lessons.

Finally, the school will also be hosting a sanitary pad drive to help girls in need. Many girls in the community struggle to afford sanitary pads, which can be a source of shame and embarrassment. The drive will help to provide girls with the dignity and hygiene they need, and to help them stay in school and succeed.

“We are excited to host the annual Samike tournament and to support our girls through the mentorship program and sanitary pad drive,” said Madan Richard, a teacher. “These events are an important part of our community, and we are proud to help girls achieve their full potential.”

The tournament and events will take place on December 27th, 2022, at the Iiani Primary School playground. The public is invited to attend and support the girls.

Am not sure of who actually incited the fracas,
Just to divide us,
It must be a political bigot,
Maybe yes maybe not.
But why should one be bothered, while he is elected,
By us,
To represent us,
Without asking where he comes from,
When it was one’s right and freedom,
As some were voting,
Others were snoring,
Or in their businesses earning,
As we spent our day queuing.
It is democracy,
But the goons do not have mercy,
Scaring us to part,
Who do we look up at?
To my leaders, am wondering,
About the kind of peace you are preaching,

Are the goons in the media?
Or here?
First address the inciters

And the financiers,

then
Come together as leaders,
Then talk to us.
